Most women put on weight during motherhood despite all the running around constantly. Having young children could mean less time for sleep, so physical exercises doesn't sound too appealing. Because you're already exhausted, you don't really want to waste any more energy exercising.

Mothers also gain weight and feel unhealthy because there are times when they end up being a human dustbin. What they usually do is eat their kids' leftovers or even snack with them. All the leftovers you eat, even little sandwiches or cookies, can build up and cause you to gain weight.

You can also consider isolation as a fitness killer. Eating healthy or doing some exercises won't be something to look forward to if you're life revolves around young children. But it's important not to neglect yourself. Follow these effective tips to help you lose weight and regain fitness and confidence.

Always remember that you're not a dustbin. Instead of eating your children's leftovers, put them in the bin.

You can use the time that you spend with your kids to stay fit and do some exercises. Try pushing the baby stroller at a brisk pace. Another great idea is chasing your children around the park. You can join your kids in some activities they go to or help the coach the class like swimming or dance lessons.

When you spend time with your children, don't allow your confidence and health to deteriorate. What you can do is arrange with your neighbor or partner about taking turns to look after the children while you engage yourself in physical activities and exercises.

While it's great being a mom, don't let it be the reason why you're not spending enough time on yourself. You'll be healthier and full of life if you spend time exercising.
