Believe it or not, everyone, all living things, seems to be facing an imminent extinction. The clocking is ticking...
And it looks to me that most people are not aware of how serious the problem of nutrient depletion in the soil has become. For that, we have to thank to the high technology that man is addicted with.
No one can deny that the artificial fertilizers can produce great crops. No one can deny that the machinery can plot and harvest (or rather, rape the Earth) effectively. But it seems that most farmers deny the consequence of doing these which in return destroys the soil fertility. As a results, it also affects the vitamin and mineral content in our food.
The rich high-tech nations do not monopolize such phenomena. Third-world countries in Asia are now able to harvest rice thrice in a year.
But Mother Nature only allows once or the most, twice a year!
Why are man messing up the law of Mother Nature?
By hurting the Earth, man are digging their own eternal grave!
Of course, some politicians, scientists or certain high-high in the United Nations may say that such high-tech farming could help to fight poverty... where money is concerned.
But what about the serious loss in soil nutrient?
Ever since the 1992 Earth Summit Report said about serious mineral values declination in farm and range for the past 100 years, no one has ever come out with a solution.
North America 85% loss...
South America 76%
Europe 72%
Asia 76%
Africa 74%
Australia 55%.
North America is suffering the most!
Hey, no offend to people over there. You just have to tell your politicians to start looking into this problem seriously, instead of debating the health care bill... Why? If you take good care of your soil, you will get beneficial food source. And it will take care of your health in return.
Interestingly, the U.S. Senate had warned the people of the high-tech farming methods in 1936. They even had proof from Yale, Rutgers, John Hopkins, Columbia and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Ironically, most people overly push for Green Earth movement. How many really thought of beginning a Fertile Earth movement? See the irony?
Confused?
The purpose of Green Earth initiative is to end the damage on the Earth.
The general purpose of Fertile Earth movement is... needless to say, to make her as fertile as the day she was created by the High Power. Of course, we have to stop hurting the Earth first before healing her. Both Green Earth and Fertile Earth movements should come hand in hand.
Why can't the majority do it?
Maybe there is no solution at all!
If I were the Mother Earth, I would say this to mankind...
"Pathetic man! You can't just rape me, then bribe me with your money, and tell me to be a fertile gaia immediately."
What will a scientist say if you ask how long the Earth would become like fertile Eden?
Most likely, the answer is -- At least thousands of years. The existence of man would be long gone before they have the solution!
By the way, forget about the commercialized "organic food", "diversified farming" movement. No one can fool the Earth when harm had already been done decades ago.
Perhaps, this is a silly solution for the desperate mankind.
"What" you may ask...
Everyone on the Earth should declare a compulsory GLOBAL REST DAY for at least once a month.
Stop burning fuels... stop generating carbon... stop throwing waste... stop eating... just stop doing everything that could directly or indirectly harm the Earth!
Maybe we should even stop breathing out CO2!
Or perhaps man should stop existing on Earth for her sake.
The existence on Earth is a gift to man. But man want more than they can take. Therefore, man do not deserve Earth.
God knows! Time will tell.
For the time being, enjoy the benefits from whatever fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, and etc you want. But do not believe in the food you eat. It is better to supplement extra doses of vitamins and minerals... just in case.
