A View Into Chewable Probiotics For Kids And Some Other Things You Can Pick From

by Frank Burns

When your child needs to take them, should you give him chewable probiotics for kids, or go for drops, or the drinking straw to deliver them, instead? First off, remember that the term "probiotics" is the scientific name for a good bacteria that helps to calm tummies and aids in digestion. And, if you explain it this way to your kid, chances are you aren't going to be met with enthusiastic compliance.

But if you make sure he doesn't KNOW he's taking them - and he thinks that Mom is giving him a tasty treat, or is letting him use a straw to drink his milk at dinner, instead - then the outcome just may be that Junior will start asking for his vitamins on his own. Now that you know this, here are some examples of the different ways you can trick him into thinking that he's getting a treat every day, instead of probiotics:

Drops - This is a good way to make sure your child receives the good bacteria every day - especially if that child is a baby or toddler. The tasty drops come in bottles that need to be refrigerated when not in use. You give your child these yummy drops approximately five times per day, administered by spoon.

Drinking straws - This is a neat way to deliver probiotics, as kids think straws make drinking their milk or juice a lot more fun. The vitamins are right in the straw, and as a kid sucks up his juice with his dinner, he is also sucking up the healthful bacteria right along with it. These straws are also a great way to sneak vitamins in on picky adults who act like children, too.

Chewable vitamins - One of the oldest and most popular ways to get kids to take their vitamins is by giving them a fruit flavored chewable tablet - as it seems to them they are getting a candy treat, instead. Probiotic vitamins come in almost any fruit flavor you can think of - cherry, strawberry, lemon, and more - plus, you can get bottles of them in assorted fruit flavors, as well. In fact, many adults still take all of their vitamins this way - and are non-negotiable in changing over to any other venue this late in life.

So, in the fight to get your child to willingly take beneficial bacteria, remember that your choices of weapons include drops, drinking straws and chewable probiotics for kids. Your little one is bound to be fooled into liking at least one of the "disguises" so much, he will probably start asking for it first thing in the morning.
