The Most Nutritious Method To Nurturing A Newborn

Our children have no real say in what they eat; it all depends on what we choose to give them. By adopting a responsible attitude and giving them a good start in life they are likely to grow up string and healthy.

We all know that a mother's milk is the best start for a baby, but they can't be sustained on that only for very long. Once your baby is ready for solids, it's so easy to make up healthy meals for your child without spending a fortune on ready made stuff.

For a baby's first solid food, choose one kind of fruit and mash it up until is a fine paste. Remember how delicate your baby's digestive system will be and introducing too many new things at once will really upset it. Try a fruit that isn't acidic and will be gentle on their stomach; such as pear or papaya.

Once they have tried a variety of fruits they can be moved onto other things. Cereals are ideal, as are a thin broth. Once of the easiest foods is simply mashing together boiled potatoes and carrots.

Try mashing a banana into a thin, porridge like consistency but don't add any sugar. There's no need for it and although you may think it'll make it taste better, your baby doesn't need it.

Organic chicken broth is a perfect meal for your baby's strengthening digestive system, just don't give them the pieces of meat until they are much older and can cope with chewing properly.

When preparing broth and the like, avoid 'windy' veg such as onions and wait a while before adding pulses. Cauliflower and broccoli can also cause wind so leave those until later too.

Feeding your baby food that you have made yourself is very rewarding as you know what you are giving your baby and don't have any chemicals added. They are getting fresh and healthy food, thanks to you.
