How To Lower Your Cholesterol

Many people jump immediately into a going fat free type of diet when their doctor tells them to lower their cholesterol. While the lowering part can save your life, jumping into a going fat free lifestyle should actually take a slower path. It definitely requires time and planning.

Stomach distress is an unpleasant side effect of changing your diet too suddenly. I know that you really want to lose weight, and that you can no longer stand hearing the doctor warn you about your cholesterol levels. However you did not get to be that way in a day and it is certainly going to take more than a day to get you off. Take your time with the program.

Sure, you want to increase your fiber intake; but do you want to do that next year, or start gradually now? Too many people like to procrastinate on what they could have done a lot time before. How do you know that by next year you can't have gotten a disease and died from all that cholesterol in your arteries anyway? Eh? Tell me.

Beans, beans, beans; never could stand the things. And now the doctor says I gotta eat more beans just so I don't get a heart attack! Where do these guys pop out from, anyway? Why do they gotta try to run my life? And now, the wife's all over me saying things like she ain't never going to let me see another plate of grease because of my cholesterol levels. I'm thinking, man oh man, why can't I just leave the cholesterol levels where they are and enjoy some greasy foods that I like? That's what I'm talking about.

Cholesterol is a solid compound in your blood. It is there, whether you like it or not. But you don't have to settle for the bad parts of it, because it's got those too. What you can do is to start on a fibrous diet that will help you keep the good parts of it up, and the bad parts down. And no matter what else you do, ensure that you live a healthy life. Health is wealth as you have obviously heard many times and that is not just words only, but a statement of fact. So, start living it already.
